What is IDBM Klubi?

IDBM Klubi is a student-driven community of business, design, and technology professionals with diverse backgrounds. Our multidisciplinary network consists of more than 600 students and graduates of the International Design Business Management (IDBM) master's program in Aalto University. We are thinkers and doers united by an innovation-driven mindset and passion for meaningful impact.

We organize afterworks, sitsis, chill hangouts, ski trips, business excursions as well as help organizing IDBM Impact - the key IDBM event of the year. In addition to that, we work as a link between the faculty and the students, making sure the thoughts and wishes of fellow IDBMers are seen, heard and taken into account.

Mission

The main purpose of IDBM Klubi is to be an organization that connects all students studying in the International Design Business Management master’s program in Aalto University. IDBM Klubi board is the representative party of that organization; advocating for students, keeping up the brand of the organization and offering students the possibility to participate in the student life and culture of Aalto University, as well as the Finnish student community. The core values of IDBM Klubi consist of the 3 I’s:

Interdisciplinarity
Internationality

All decisions and operations of IDBM Klubi will be executed considering the core values of the organization. IDBM Klubi is active in representing all three disciplines of IDBM equally, ensuring a community that will bring out a sense of belonging and social cohesion. The interdisciplinarity of IDBM Klubi will be maintained with the help of associations that represent the three different disciplines of Aalto University. To respect the core values of inclusivity and internationality, the only working language of IDBM Klubi will be English. Thus, all activities, events and communication will be done in that language.

Why should you join? By joining, you become a member of the lively and multidisciplinary community of IDBM Klubi. With the membership you can choose to receive Klubi’s newsletter with different relevant information, such as upcoming events and possible job opportunities. The membership gives you the opportunity to vote in annual meetings and run for the next Klubi board. We prioritise Klubi members in event sign-ups.
